Subsidiary “TG Power Inc.” Launches Renewable Energy Business

TG Power Inc., a subsidiary company of T-Gaia, launched a Renewable Energy Business in FY 2018 centered around mobile phone sales shops nationwide, making use of unused roofs.

TG Power Inc. installed solar powers at some directly-managed shops and the T-Gaia Logistics Center as an initiative against global warming.

Participation in the “EyeCity Eco Project” to collect empty cases of disposable contact lenses

Since September 2017, we have been participating in the “EyeCity eco Project” activities of HOYA Corporation Eye Care Company's contacts.
The collected empty cases are recycled through HOYA Corporation, and the amount of money from the recycling is donated to the Eye Bank Association of Japan. We will continue to actively engage in this activity as “an activity that can contribute to both the environment and society”.

Donation to “The Nature Conservation Society of Japan” through PC and Peripheral Equipment Recycling

We recycle our waste (PCs, LAN cables, network equipment, etc.) and donate the proceeds from the sale to the Nature Conservation Society of Japan, a nature conservation non-governmental organization that protects biodiversity (since November 2017). We will continue to contribute to environmental protection through regular recycling of waste and other activities.

Registered as a “Sapporo Eco Member” of the City of Sapporo (Hokkaido Branch)

On February 28, 2020, we were registered as a “Sapporo Eco Member”*.

*The City of Sapporo registers business establishments that voluntarily implement environmentally friendly initiatives and introduces their activities to the City of Sapporo in an effort to expand the circle of such initiatives and create a better environment.

Main initiatives

  • Reduction of energy consumption by turning off unnecessary lights, reducing the number of fluorescent lamps, etc., and curbing waste emissions by reusing packaging materials, etc.
  • Reduction of paper consumption through measures such as thorough double-sided copying and digitization of documents
  • Participation in the “Hokkaido Ecocap Ring Pull Campaign”
  • Implementation of the TABLE FOR TWO program (beverage vending machines)

Nagoya SDGs Green Partners “Ecological Enterprise Certification” (Tokai Regional Headquarters)

In accordance with the name change of “Nagoya City Certified Eco Business Office” which had already been certified, the company was again certified as “Nagoya SDGs Certified Eco Business Office ”* on January 31, 2023.

*The “Nagoya SDGs Green Partners” is a system that adds the perspective of the SDGs to the existing certification system for environmentally conscious business offices and supports businesses to voluntarily and proactively engage in environmentally conscious business activities while being aware of the SDGs.

  • Reduction of combustible waste and utilization of resources through separate collection of garbage and resources
  • Use of next-generation vehicles and car sharing, and donation of food for disaster relief
  • Promotion of recycling through collection of empty disposable contact lens cases
  • Certification as a "Business for promoting women's activities in the city of Nagoya"
  • Certification as a “Nagoya City Work-Life Balance Promotion Company”

Certification as “Eco-Niko Meisters,” an environmentally conscious business operator in Sendai City (Tohoku Branch)

Certified as “Eco-Niko Meisters ”* on February 14, 2023

*This is a system to encourage businesses in the city to promote environmental friendliness by certifying them as “Eco-Niko Meisters,” a Sendai City Environmentally Conscious Business Operator, for their efforts to promote waste reduction and recycling.

  • Promotion of paper separation and recycling
  • Promote separation and recycling of cans, bottles, and PET bottles
  • Promotion of purchase and use of recycled paper and other recycled products and green products
  • Monitoring and reducing energy consumption, etc.
  • Collection and recycling of recyclable materials in stores
